Toe Nail Fungus Treatment

Revitalized Aesthetics is now offering a state-of-the-art non-invasive treatment that can eliminate nail fungus from your toes. Onychomycosis is an annoying ailment that affects millions, but our pain-free laser solution can restore your nails and get you back on your feet quickly without discomfort.

Nail Fungus Won’t Just Go Away

The medical experts at Revitalized Aesthetics know that fungus doesn’t go away on its own. Our practitioners have teamed up with Alma lasers to provide an effective way to fight onychomycosis without risking the surrounding tissue or the patient’s health.

Eliminate Your Fungal Injection

We’re proud to introduce the long awaited, innovative approach to treating onychomycosis tinea unguium. Our uniquely advanced treatment utilizes two distinct and proven laser technologies:

  • Q-Switched Nd:YAG
  • Long Pulsed Nd:YAG

Our Alma Harmony laser emits powerful bursts of light that transmit through your nail plate to the nail bed where the energy is absorbed by the pigmented yeasts that causes the infection.

The Nd:YAG 1064 laser beam will then introduce non-specific heat conduction and the target area absorbs the beam of radiation and transfers the thermal energy to the unwanted organism (the fungus), to thermally deactivate it.

Nail Fungus FAQs

Is nail fungus just an aesthetic issue?

Fungus on your feet is more than just an embarrassing visible flaw – it’s unhealthy. As the white and pink part of the nail begins to turn yellow, it also typically hardens, thickens, and can even crack or splinter. Damage also often spreads to the skin around the nail as the fungus finds new spaces to grow. Luckily, Revitalized Aesthetics of Iowa now offers a fast, effective treatment option to kill the fungus at the source.

What are the benefits of treatment?

In addition to killing the fungal organisms, the non-ablative energy also heats up the skin tissue, without destroying it. This in result kick-starts natural healing processes. The nail will heal and return to normal with steady improvement. Without any living fungus, you don’t have to worry about symptoms spreading to other toes and fingers or being infectious to those around you. Eliminating the cause is the first step, then your body is free to heal and rejuvenate without risk of reinfection.

How many treatments are required?

The answer depends on the acuteness of the infection. We can answer more accurately when you schedule your initial consultation. There could be up to five or seven sessions of laser toenail fungus treatment to specifically target the fungi and provide patients new clear nail growth; each session is very short.
