Reiki

“Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.” – International Center for Reiki Training
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a relaxing and healing therapy that is clinically proven to improve well being, decrease pain, improve relaxation, and has been demonstrated to help in a wide variety of situations.
What to expect
Your therapist will take you to the room and help you find a comfortable position seating or reclining. We have pillows and blankets to help you relax. Your therapist will ask you for your goal for the session, and you might choose something like pain relief, relaxation, balance, emotional healing, or discuss with your therapist what your desired outcome is. You may choose to ask your therapist to tell you what they are noticing during the session, but the best benefit to you, is for you to relax or to be mindful of how your body is reacting. At the conclusion, your therapist will disconnect, and ask you about your experience.
